Support for the new National Curriculum...

The new National Curriculum is now finalised, and teachers are doubtless preparing for the implementation. There are various implications for schools: some may require significant curriculum change, others may be more comfortable with it.
This blogpost provides information on two initial sources of information.

Living Geography will continue to contain the most up-to-date news on the changes, and of course plenty of ideas for what to do... There are over 4800 posts on this blog, so regardless of what you're planning to teach for the first time there's bound to be some

If we start with Primary, there's a series of conferences taking place in venues around the country. The first ones have been released and are described here.
If you're coming to the event at Duxford, come and say hello - I'll be on the GA stand and around during the event...

For secondary (and primary) you should also check out a newly launched area of the Geographical Association's website.

The GA is planning a whole tranche of support for the new curriculum. We have a Secondary Committee meeting in a couple of weeks when we're going to be discussing some of the contributions that we shall make to this developing resource.

Remember that teachers are the curriculum makers, or they should be....
